Speechless
I just finished the book, and.... wow. Uhm... I think I'll need some time to digest everything. One thing's for certain. I sure would like to take a trip to
Le Louvre. :)
And I never noticed Leonardo's works are that weird. (Leonardo di ser Piero Da Vinci. Long name. Heheh.) Regardless of what they mean, he sure tends to portray people and things very very differently.
Take
The Last Supper, for example. No wonder people are speculating that John, the supposed figure on Jesus' right side, is actually Mary Magdalene, or some other woman. I mean, he painted all the other figures as bearded, and obviously masculine. But the figure on the right is clean-shaven, and somewhat androgynous. Also, if you look at the painting closely, Leonardo seems to have captured an "action-packed" scene during the last supper. Was this when Jesus' announced that he would be betrayed? Hrmmm...
